Le Macaron French Pastries

My husband and I went here because it looked delicious and we love macaroons. We are picky about them. We ordered a box of 6. Upon eating them, the flavors were off and didn't taste fresh. The raspberry didn?t taste like raspberry and the salted caramel tasted like butter. The others are not worth talking about. We also ordered the dark chocolate raspberry truffles. They were beautiful to look at it, but the flavor was also lacking. The chocolate tastesd like low quality and the raspberry flavor tasted artificial. The staff was super kind and had great service. The store was very clean.

Le Macaron looked good but was closed So we went next door to El Avocado. Great vegetarian and vegan foods. Also ice cream, beer($2 beer happy hour! and the like with music and good times. And a magnificent ocean view...ya gotta go!

Best pistachio macarons. Very moist inside. It's hard to come by a good macaron, and this hits the spot every time I'm in La Jolla

Tried their beignets at their kiosk in UTC mall and they were so scrumptious! The dough was a heavenly consistency, chewy and soft but still airy enough to not feel like you're eating a high calorie donut. The fillings were over the top yummy! The hazelnut filling had a smooth, velvety texture and wasn't too sweet. The white chocolate filling was yummy as well, not too sweet. My favorite filling of them all was the chocolate, it had a sophisticated chocolate flavor not overwhelming just the right amount of sweetness. I'll have to write another review when I try their macarons. Nice little treat before we walked around the mall!
