Piatti - S San Diego

We had an excellent experience at Piatti's! We hosted a graduation luncheon for our friends and family on the patio. Kasey was great to work with in planning our event and Lauren was super helpful day of. Our guests all loved the food and the ambiance on the patio was perfect and shady. Santiago, Katie and the other servers were attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back again soon!

I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium and it was all undercooked ... raw 85%. I left the salmon on my plate and waitress didn't ask how or why I didn't eat my salmon as she was clearing. I should have sent it back... awful! We had to ask for water refills and I could go on. Bummer experience.

Been going to Piatti for many years but the most recent visit was likely our last. The hostess (the short older lady with blonde/red hair) was extremely rude and spoke with a condescending tone. Waitress and bussers were attentive. Food is usually very good but fell short of expectations this time around. Prices are fair and ambience is nice, especially if you're seated in the courtyard.

This was my first time eating at Piatti. We were seated at the time of our reservation. Our waitress was knowledgeable about how the food was prepared. I ordered salmon, it was tender, delicious, and flavorful. We brought our bottle of wine and the waitress was continually tentative pouring wine at our table. I would go again.

I have eaten here every year for 8 years. I appreciate gluten free options. Last night we were in for my birthday and it was sort of a disappointment. There was basically one server for the entire room. He was not really interested in dealing with our table. I understand based on the number of tables he was managing. However not a great dining experience when no one comes to see if you need water, more wine, dessert, the bill. Basically the entire meal we were looking for service not just putting in I tail drink order then food order. Food was good as always.
