Ponce's Mexican - S San Diego

I absolutely adore Ponce's! The skinny margaritas are fantastic, and the enchiladas suizas are a must-try. The queso is delicious, and I appreciate the comfortable seating. Plus, I love that it's a family-owned restaurant with a long history in San Diego. Also, it's wheelchair accessible, which is a nice touch!

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The margaritas were fantastic, and I particularly enjoyed the chile rellenos and fish tacos. The house-made chips and salsa were top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, I’d rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5!

My kids and I have become weekend regulars at Ponces! The food is wonderful, and the service is outstanding! The hostess and waitstaff always make us feel like part of the family. One of the highlights of our visits is how kid-friendly the restaurant is, which is hard to come by. We can't wait to bring our friends here to share this amazing experience!

First of all, I love Mexican food. I could eat it every day. Tried this place today and sorry to say, it was not good. I kind of knew when the chips didn't taste great.Well the chicken tortilla soup was good. Too bad they brought it out 30 seconds before my quesadilla.It was ok though. The quesadilla was made wrong, (how hard is it to make a quesadilla without sour cream all over it? So while they remade that I got to eat my soup.The quesadilla was nasty. The tortilla didn't taste good, and the Carne asada was seasoned in a strange sauce I didn't like. I ate about 1/4 of it and just couldn't...My sister wasn't too happy with her food either.There were only a few tables being served. We waited forever for someone to pick up our check/cards. That was after I went to find someone. Server apologized and actually said he was busy chatting with coworkers. Huh??He was sweet though.Won't be back and don't recommend.

Wow! Love this place. The bartenders are very friendly and the drinks are delicious. Our meal was so so good! They were having internet issues so paying at the end was a little slow but we didn't care because everyone was really kind.
