San Diego Chicken Pie Shop

Had a chicken pot pie for breakfast ? It was so full of flavor. The restaurant was packed. The waitress tried to do her best to keep up. She was very polite and attentive. All food was hot and delicious. We tried chicken and waffles. Chicken Fried steak and my chicken pot pie. All was amazing. Place is clean, not crammed, and cute country style. I would love to return.

This place hasn’t changed in 70 years. Good comfort food. Simple but good.

DONT BOTHER CALLING. If you can get through... You will be put on hold and hung up. It is staff polacy said the manager. Used to be good service. Dont count on it. Nothing fancy. Decent food. Good pie.

Food: I would rate this as a mid level diner quality. While not disappointed we weren’t over impressed either. Loved the crispness of the fries. Took one chicken pot pie to go and my daughter didn’t like it because it didn’t have any veggies in it. The shake was very filling big enough to share! Service: attentive Atmosphere: table needed cleaning and the restaurant needs some interior updating. Overall good value for the money. Pictured is chicken sandwich and chocolate shake. Parking lot in the back was nice because otherwise difficult to park there. Parking: Parking was decent not a huge lot but we found a spot. Might be full during prime meal times.

Every year we get their rolls for thanksgiving and have wanted to visit this place for dinner for sometime now. I had the pot pie with chicken and turkey, veggies and rolls and it disappoint. We will definitely be coming back to try other things on the menu.
