Tapas Picasso Spanish - S San Diego

Tapas has really great Spanish food. My friend lives in the area and takes me whenever I visit. He loves the paella, I think it's ok but I prefer to order tapas, especially during happy hour. If you go during happy hour you'll get some great wine, beer and food specials. The price can add up quickly, even more reason to go during happy hour!

I finally went after many well meaning attempts. I had a craving for some paella. We also ordered some spicy chicken tapas wrapped in what looked like empanadas. Those were good! As for the paella it was flavorful but the meat and seafood was skimpy. At least in comparison to Sevilla. We did not eat much as we had already eaten else where. The sangria and refreshing beer with wine and sprite were quite good. Over all I'd say it was a mediocre place. The happy hour menu seemed appetizing and I may go back if I don't find a better Spanish tapas place in the city.
