The Butcher Shop - S San Diego

Overall, it's a pretty decent steak restaurant. We order to start a bone marrow, and Brussels sprouts. For the main dish, we order the 16-oz prime rib dinner and the pork chop. The food was good, and the service was excellent. The restaurant had really nice vintage feeling and nice music in the background. Lots of food for your money. I do recommend this restaurant.

Amazing for dates. We have a rowdy 1 year old and they were all very nice and unbothered.

Excellent prime rib. My medium rare steak was still mooing. Great value for the kids meals as well. Our server was so accommodating to me and my children. Peaceful atmosphere. They loved the lobster Mac and cheese great portions. They have Dutton wine and Joseph Phelps both great wines for good value. Can I come back tonight?

Do not go here! My husband and I went expecting a nice meal and were horribly disappointed! Food was overpriced and not worth it. Husband ordered steak and it was so tough that the table shook when he was trying to cut into it (horrendous for $45 steak a la carte) he did like the lobster Mac and cheese though but that was $25 for a bowl! I asked about the catch of the day and server did not know what it was so I ordered half chicken with risotto and subbed veggies for mashed potatoes my food was cold and risotto was mushy! Then before leaving I went to the restroom and was horrified! It smelled and was dirty, floors needed to be mopped there was toilet paper all over the floor and hanging out the toilet.. one of the servers walked in while I was in the restroom and did not even try to address the nastiness, she just did her business and left! Bill was $145 and I will never be back!

First time for our anniversary, and it was the best decision. The atmosphere, food and Yahaira made it very special, best service. Thank you all and especially Yahaira.
