The Swiss find it difficult in hospitality, I think because it is no longer so profitable, although it is very expensive by British standards. Inexperienced employees average food. Although my Rosti was fresh, even if it was a little kalorific. Nice owner.
There is not much to eat in this beautiful city. Service was friendly, though a bit sketchy, some of other critics mentioned. I had pork with sauce, pommes and vegetables, it was a very hot meal I enjoyed. From what I've read about some of the other dining options in the city, this is a good cozy pub that probably offers the best food in the city. I'd eat here if I came back.
Nice interiors, small and welcoming restaurant with a nice staff. The food and the service was proper and the menu offered nice options of local food. We had two fondues (unfortunately the meat ones were not available due to a lack of meat) and two selections of local cheese and hams. The kids had also ice creams. The best restaurant in Saas-Grund, so far.
We had two splendid evenings at this nice restaurant. The lamb was absolutely delicious. Friendly personel. Cosy setting with live fire. Very good swiss wines, more than 40 served by the glass.
Went here to book a table and was told that we couldn't book so fast, went back to our hotel to change. It went in and was said that, although there were many free tables, they would not do a table for 5. They'd only make for 4 or less table. The lady was so rude and didn't let us pull another chair for a table for four. Ends with a great meal in a hotel right above the street.
