Garside's Ice Cream - Saco

Garside's Ice Cream has been serving delicious ice cream since 1955, and they certainly know how to do it right. With around 25 different flavors, all of which are made in-house, it’s hard to resist. During the summer months, you'll often see a steady stream of customers eager to enjoy their homemade treats, and yes, the lines can get quite long. So, you might wonder if the wait is worthwhile. Trust me, it absolutely is!

I visited Garside's on the opening day of the season, and the ice cream was as fantastic as ever. I'll definitely be coming back. Update: I can't stay away from this place; the staff and ice cream are amazing. It's almost like my car knows to drive me here!

Olivia offers the warmest welcome! Although I should try to visit less often, I can't help but come back regularly, bringing friends and family (and my dog) along with me. The atmosphere is lovely, and I'm always greeted with a smile as I explore the many delicious flavors available!

This is our favorite ice cream stand in the Saco area. Wave has smoothly transitioned from the previous owner to the new one, and they now offer some amazing new flavors from time to time. Tonight, we sampled their peach flavor, which was delightful, and their pumpkin pie, which was fantastic. There are plenty of great options and delicious ice cream, making it well worth the drive from Saco to Camp Ellis. It’s truly a New England classic!

As a local, I can confidently say this is my favorite spot for ice cream. The portions are generous, and the flavors are absolutely delightful! The staff is also fantastic!
