At later days I wandered to the toasty temple of Quizno 's, and compromised at the Mecca of mediocrity (Subway), but seventeen years ago I had never so much as considered bivouacking to Blimpie. Yes, seventeen years ago at this exact location, my chubby adolescent fingers first gripped a soft, white Blimpie roll on the lawn of Sutter 's fort. What I recall from that day has held true through the past two decades to my second and third visits over the past two days: 'this tastes like a sandwich. ' In all seriousness, this is a good sandwich at a reasonable price and convenient location. The guy behind the counter is personable and does a good job quickly. It isn 't an artisanal, free-range, arugula and quinoa bowl, it 's a classic sandwich. Enjoy it for what it is.
It's a sub shop. That said, the people are helpful, the bread is fresh and the ingredients are tasty. I also look to see if the place is clean, not just behind the counter, but throughout the place. It was clean, including the bathroom.
Good food! Owner is really friendly
