Stopped in on a Saturday night after walking around the city. The customer service the food were amazing! I’m Mexican myself, I’m usually pretty picky with how “authentic” and flavorful the food is, and this place actually succeeded in impressing my taste buds. I also tried their Horchata, which ALSO exceeded my expectations; it wasn’t too sweet, but also not flavorless. It didn’t have the traditional grainy too sweet flavor that most places I’ve tried have. The staff were extremely welcoming talkative. We met the owner Alejandro had a long conversation with him about the history of their restaurant about food. Will be back to try more items!!
Excellent tacos, excellent service. Will be back to try some cocktails and other food options. Super easy on the pocketbook as well.
I’ve been coming here for years and I’m glad they survived the pandemic! They are one of the BEST, if not the best, casual taquerias in Sacramento. They offer a variety of tasty options for tacos and tostadas and am always satisfied. Love the tinga, carnitas, queso with rajas, chicharrón, papas con soyrizo…todo! I really like their horchata because it’s authentic and not too sweet. Beside that they treat their customers like familia and go above and beyond to make you feel en casa. Was just there on a whim for a birthday rendezvous and they exceeded our expectations. The team is just phenomenal! In short, this place is the real midtown jam. Get your tacos and sit under the bear mural…just be careful with their hot sauce. Ajúa!!
I had the tinga de pollo tacos, which were delicious an ample amount of well seasoned shredded chicken with good toppings and some really tasty salsa to put on top. There’s a narrow space outside the restaurant with tables for eating, directly below what may be the most impressive mural in Sacramento. Will come again!
