Saigon Corner - Sacramento

My own experience wasn't what I expected, overpriced and the food quality wasn't too good. I'll give it a two star rating and one thumbs up. Terrible, not what I expected at all.

I ordered takeout, and my food was ready when I arrived. Their dishes are delicious, with the sandwiches being particularly impressive. The calamari is also fantastic. I will definitely return.

But I'm giving a negative review because of the service. With limited time on lunch, my only gripe is that I still had to wait in line even though I ordered ahead and received confirmation that my order was ready. And their online menu seems to charge more than when you order at the counter. I was charged $9.49 for bahn mi while their in-person charge for the same sandwich is listed at $7.99. Ordering ahead is supposed to be a convenience. In this case it wasn't convenient. Food was great though.

The service was outstanding, and the beef pho was delicious; however, the slices of rare steak were a bit too thick and too rare for my taste. The grilled chicken sandwich was nice but slightly dry. It complemented the pho well.

It had a very chill and nice environment. The workers were eager to serve us, but I felt rushed because of the over eagerness of the waiter. Food is great tho!
