Sa Rang Bang is a mom pop Korean restaurant nestled in the heart of the Rosemont area. There's about 8 10 tables to dine in, with each booth tagged/graffitied/customized by customers with names, dates, drawings, silly messages, etc. I've been going here for over 10 years and the food was always good, with the service being mediocre. However, recently there's been a change in ownership and it shows : For the most part, the flavor of the food is still about the same. When I came last week, I got the seafood pancake, beef bulgogi, and the spicy chicken. The flavors were all still the same and delicious, the only downside was the chicken pieces are a lot smaller now and it was pretty dry. I remember when there was meat on the chicken and it would fill up the plate. It looks at if they only give the small parts of the chicken where there's little to no meat on it. Another new change in the restaurant is also the ban chan (side dishes . They used to give a good variety (I'm talking 6 10 different sides , and now they only give 4. But that's not the worst part... they give 1 free refill of the ban chans, and any additional after that, it's a $3 charge now. What and why?? Also, the corn/barley tea is really watered down. I remember when it used to have a strong taste and far from tasting like sink water I miss what this place used to be and hope they bring back the quality it once was.

We have been going here for at least 10 years and were in for a shock when we came in last. Their prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. Customer service has never been that great here but their amazing food always made up for it before. From reviews, I've read that they're under new management. Hopefully the new management can get it together and restore Sa Rang Bang to it's former glory.
