Shame that some of the fairy walk was closed, presumably because of the weather, otherwise it would have been five stars. Lovely pasty. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I recommend it.
Lovely place to spend half a day or more with the kids. The train ride is fantastic, weaving it’s way through tunnels, magical forests, and ending at an adventure playground. The playground itself is fantastic for the children, with food and drinks places dotted around for the adults. If the weather is kind, it’s a great place to put a blanket down and relax on the grass.
Lovely place, our 2 year old loved it. Little train takes about 25 minutes, play area is pretty and really well thought out. Hope to come again for Christmas
Very well thought through and laid out family attraction, including miniature steam train, fairy walk and outdoor playground. Went with friends who recommended booking to make sure you got the train time and type you wanted. On the train you go on a ride through some woods with fun little dioramas along the way. Make sure you check your guidebook so you can tick them off as you go. Once we got back we were guided towards the fairy walk which has a surprising number of little friends to check off as you go. There was also a nicely thought through craft activity which was no extra cost. Don't skip out on the nature corner, there's plenty there to keep young minds entertained for a little while too. The playground is extensive with a good variety of playthings, all of which suit the various themes really nicely. Down sides service in the cafe was really slow and staff looked like they could have done with a hand. We went just out of holiday season, which meant there was stuff on the map that kids could see but couldn't do, which lead to a bit of crossness. Whilst there is cover for eating, this is very much an outdoor affair, so very weather dependent. All in all, we absolutely loved it, and would absolutely go again. In fact, if we loved anywhere near I'm certain we'd have a season ticket.
What a lovely day out! Took our 7 year old son and thought he wouldn’t be interested in the fairies but he loved finding them all and marking them off in the book. Train ride was good and he really enjoyed the bubbles and play area.
