Oliveirinha Restaurante - Sagres

We went to dinner, 4 people. restaurant almost full, 4 free places on a 6-person table occupied with 2. Actually there were 3 separate tables, but the owner refused to solve 2 to a 2-person table and a 4-person table. “No, it’s full.” rude. In...Portugal, it seems to be a rule for peculiarities. no longer in my life!

The food was excellent! we ordered salmon and bark. the only thing we give only 4 out of 5 stars is the waiting time. we waited a long time to order and then get the food. but tbh was just a person. in service and a complete restaurant.

We went here to this cozy little place after our visit to the fortification sagres, dressed by the cheap lunch menu option. unfortunately we arrived shortly after 2 clock relatiw late and the dishes on the menu were no longer available. we were very. well received and the dishes we selected were very affordable: cação with garnel and coriander at 10.50 €. we loved the dishes absolutely; the food quality was 5/5 stars! the “cação” was above all divine and I recommend this special option to everyone. we finished the meal by sharing a biscuit cake reasonable size, the cost 2.80€ it was not bad, but at this price or too little more I had better. the only reason to give oliveirinha not a 5-star rating is the following: we arrived shortly after 2 o'clock and left only at 16:30 o'clock. the waiting period was too long, especially with only 2 or 3 families there next to us was only one of them actually there when we entered. I think oliveirinha would not miss investing in more employees to shorten waiting times. another thing to improve would be to offer us a complete menu. my friend and I came up from our tables to read the cries that were on a wall and outside to know what we had and his prices because the menu was not given to us when we arrived. In summary: despite the waiting period, the quality of the food and the ease with which we were received just at the time we arrived, makes me enthusiastically recommend to visit it to friends or family sagres. I also recommend to the reader of this assessment when they have come so far, ahah. I am sure I will be back!

Great eating, they will not be disappointed and Saturday night karaoke is a wonderful experience not to miss. paulo, paula and lenia are fantastic hosts.

5 friends who first visit the algarve. After we flee from the typical posh location, because we were ignored, we came to our 2nd option. a typical city bar. the waiter was alone as it is Monday and a woman in the kitchen. we waited a bit for a sayr in the terrac and then we sat by paulo, probably the most friendly man we met here. Eating was something else. fresh fish as they can get (from hai to squid) and delicious with this traditional taste. all dressed with dessert and a free shot homemade liqueur. in any case visit our next visit. can no longer recommend it. the best of paulo and want the chef (should have asked for their name). we did our day.
