This place resides where a very old boba shop used to be, so the restaurant is kind of small. The waiter was very friendly and offered some simple suggestions while we were checking the menu. He even let us try some other flavors for the seafood sauce. We went for the Garlic Butter Fuego at medium heat. We're usually always good with medium heat. But boy, this was SPICY. There was cut up pieces of Thai chili soaking in the sauce. But the flavor was so juicy, a good amount of sweet, and a whole lotta heat. If I was anybody else, I would probably complain. Luckily I'm a spice girl and I actually really enjoyed it even though I was dying. The razor clams were just okay but the sauce was good. Razor clams are naturally expensive so I probably wouldn't order again. But I'll be back for that Garlic Butter Fuego! Service 5 Ambiance 3 Food 4 Price 4
Here we are again and thank goodness. Genuinely, I wish I could gate keep this restaurant. It's my second time but bringing another friend from NY to try this place out and we loved it. Can be pricey but the food is really worth it. I promise you will all love it. The service from Huyen, if I spelled her name correctly... broooo she is phenomenal and so sweet! The way she casually placed her recommendations without having to act like a server, i wish I could hire her.The ambiance/vibe is like an underground bar. The location isn't the greatest in San Jose for this restaurant but the theme seems to fit. Personally, it doesn't bother me one bit. As long as the food is good, I'm good.
The food in general is good but portion too small. We paid a little over $160 for 2 ppl with 4 dishes and 2 drinks. Razor clam-fresh and cleanSquid salad- lack sauce. If they provide same sáu on the side it would be better.Oc huong salted egg- the sauce is really good worth the try! Lẩu óc- I feel this dish quite overpriced. Sweet n sour broth base and the Oc still in the shell. If you ever had the one in SolCal, totally different flavor. This is an ok dish, wouldn't recommended though. We got totally
Wow, I have not been here since they changed the name of the restaurant. It's still the same owner but the food selection has expanded. I use to go here for the hu tieu nam vang because the sauce was really good. However, this time we wanted to try their new menu items. The salted egg snails were sooo good. We kept on dipping back into the sauce. It's a very unique dish that other places do not have. The hotpot was a very big portion. We were a group of 3 but we definitely could have fed a 4th person. The staff here are super nice and sweet. They have TVs for those who want to come here on a game day.
Great place to stop by.. Lots of seafood selections. Will come again to try other dishes.
