The restaurant is attached to a small, rural hotel in a quiet village in the southern suburbs of Paris. Open only from 7:00 8:30pm in the evenings, it offers a modest, but varied menu of wholesome home cooked food. The service was friendly and good. The food excellent and the price very modest. Three courses for under 20€ is excellent value. The salad du chef was abundant and fresh. The entrecote was melt in the mouth and served with fries and fresh vegetables (which change from evening to evening) and the crème brulée appeared to have been made fresh. There are plenty of options for most pallets. The lady attending had only rudimentary English (fair enough because that is the level of my French), but was very helpful and we made ourselves understood. She also apologised profusely because an influx of clients meant that I had to wait a few minutes for my steak. The restaurant is on the Place de la Mairie in front of the town hall. The tables at the windows facing onto the square offer nice views and are highly recommended. The effect of the light of the setting sun streaming through the red leaves of the trees outside was stunning.
Like a displeasant country air has two steps from the city... A perfect service and a just welcome, a welcoming and benevolent team... I would keep a great memory of these 5 weeks! Thanks to you A very special thank you to the Patron who has reserved us some nice surprises, and Super José who has annoyed our mornings!! Elise
An independent hotel. Very nice surprise. Quiet, and also close to hiking/walking trails.
Very pleasant and professional welcome, I highly recommend this restaurant. The dishes served are excellent!
