The beef tartare was delicious, but the standout was definitely the dessert - cooked Brie with lingonberry and brandy sauce. It was one of the best desserts I have had recently.
The main specialty will be the blood sausage with apples, but all menu selections are delicious and memorable. You can also bring your own wine to enjoy with your meal.
I dined with a friend from town for the first time at this classic and beautiful French Canadian restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, and the fresh new seasonal menu was a pleasant surprise. The young and well-trained staff made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Despite a busy night, the service was still top-notch. We started with fresh oysters served with a delicious homemade mignonette with a twist of Apple. For our main course, we both ordered the beef Babette with fries, a classic choice. However, we mistakenly ordered our steaks medium instead of medium rare, which was completely our own fault. Despite this error, the beef was still tender, the sauce was flavorful, and the fries were delicious. We couldn't help but imagine how much better our meal would have been if we had ordered medium rare. We definitely plan on returning to the restaurant, and next time, I will be sure to order my steak the right way.
We visited this restaurant 2 years ago for lunch and had a very good experience. This time (March 2020) was completely the opposite. We ordered fish and chips the fish was raw and the batter soggy and we sent it back to the kitchen. What came back was crispy batter but the fish was overcooked. The fries were cold right from the start. The whole thing was served in a paper lined metal dish which was unheated. Very disappointing. We had a not very good coffee which was not included in the price! Won't go back....
Shopping, shopping, then started to think about lunch... In that little town, did not knew where to lunch... A suggestion from the last store visited. Nice place, very clean, quite busy, classy service and well prepared food. In that place, you have to bring your own vine, but you may/do not need it for that agreeable lunch.
