Brasserie Les Varietes - Saint-Claude

Loved our meal at les varieties! we have tried local specialties and the staff was attentive and helpful. the food was fresh, tasty, served quickly and well sorted portions. good prices too. the employees spoke English and were patient to explain the menus to us.

This busy bistro was on a weekday afternoon with local office workers and folk of all age groups, obviously regular customers, all enjoy the bozz and communication from table to table. informal, friendly and efficient service despite the hurry. we felt at home right away...and each service contact was professional (with an appealing backiness). our salads were just so, but the hot eating on the other tables looked better, and this bistro is obviously about providing a filling lunch in a certain standard with an additional help of charming banter.

Very well placed brewery. but only the regulars seem to benefit from a service without reproach from the management of this establishment. people passing by, continue your way, you will find restaurants that will receive you and serve dignifiedly. claude de casablanca

We wanted to taste local specialties and chose the jurassian menu. We were disappointed: a so-called Jurassian entrance salad because with county. but it doesn't make it a specialty! main dish: eminced of poultry, rather good, served with a mountain of fries -certs house, at that price, it is the minimum- but much too salted. we could have expected a little more elaborate accompaniment with regard to the menu price. cheese or dessert (again, for the price, both were welcome). As for desserts, it was a failure on the local side. Anyway, a good menu of the day. at the price of an elaborate menu. Too bad.
