La Bruyere - Saint-Claude

This restaurant always offers a pleasant experience. the atmosphere is beautiful and eating is good. the menu selection is small, with, in the rule, three main courses: bark meat, fish or others. I never had a bad meal here.

Our evening in bruyere was perfect. English speaking staff, honest advice on the menu and eating good.

The place is an old factory that has been beautifully renovated. the service is really nice, smiling and efficient. eating, although rooted in local tradition, comes on creative wise. Portion is ok big smart, but could be a bigger one. I would. definitiw recommend that restaurant for family and group of friends.

St. claude was formerly the center of the French pipe industry, but unstoppable has caused the decline of smoking this line of work. la bruyere is a former pipe factory, and it is worth visiting only for the interiors and fascinating machines on the display...(Have they ever seen a pipe arch plane? we were the only guests from 8-9 o'clock on a week night until another table filling appeared, but this seems typical for the next season in st. claude. friendly, professional welcome. we had only the fondue that was delicious and plentiful. Once the other guests arrived, they seemed very satisfied with their menu.
