Restaurant Saint Hubert - Saint-Claude

Service was slow but exceptionally nice. They offered us a special vegetarian plate which was nice but very bland. Unlike the hotel, it was air conditioned. There are much cheaper, and possibly better, restaurants in the city center a few blocks away, but this place has an upscale feel to it, is adjacent to the hotel, and offers food with ingredients from the region, including a fondue made with local Comte, and serves local wines too.

Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Overpriced for what was on offer. We both had the chicken in white wine sauce. Chicken was over cooked but sauce tasty. The vegetables were overlooked but edible. If it hadn't been so late when we arrived we would probably have eaten elsewhere.

This was an easy choice as I was staying in this hotel. My colleague and I shared the cheese fondue that was served with a meat tray selection and small new potatoes. The fondue was very good and the wait staff was kind and...courteous.
