They offer an extensive selection of rice dishes, all accompanied by warm, flavorful sauces, as well as an array of sandwiches and kabobs. You can even purchase prepackaged spices to whip up masala and other dishes at home. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return!
I ordered from this restaurant through Food Dudes, and I was really impressed with the way my food was packaged—much better than some other places I've tried where the Styrofoam containers were crushed or leaking. We sampled the lamb gyro and chicken tikka masala, both of which were delicious and fresh. The cheese fries had a unique sweetness to them, and I can definitely see myself craving them again!
We recently visited SCSU for a hockey game and needed to stop for gas. We pulled into the Shell station next to the parking lot and were pleasantly surprised to discover a small restaurant area inside. The aromas wafting from the kitchen were incredible, so we decided to grab a quick bite. The menu featured a variety of Indian dishes as well as wraps and burgers with fries. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with naan bread, which was freshly baked right in front of me. My husband opted for the lamb gyro naanwich, and both meals were fantastic. While we waited for our food, the staff kindly offered us some veggie samosa samples, which were delicious. Overall, it was a great experience, and we plan to return soon. The only downside was the lack of signage to inform people about the restaurant.
This is one of my favorite gyro spots in town. They offer a limited selection of Indian and Pakistani dishes, including Paneer and Chicken Tikka (which is an Indian cheese chicken curry). While I enjoy Star of India, the prices here at Slide In Mart are almost half. The rice here is more flavorful and aromatic. Their small grocery section features many ethnic options, such as Indian Paratha bread and frozen Naan, which you can easily warm up at home. The service is quick, and the place isn't usually too crowded. I really like the owner; he's a very nice guy from New York.
This charming little spot serves delicious Philly sandwiches. The staff is consistently friendly, and the service is quick. You can even call ahead to place your food orders for pick-up. I can't wait to try their wings next!
