Beautiful place, overlooking the lake, on the French side, eats a surprising little hamburger in mouth, then foie gras and brioche, trout net and vegetables and finally dessert cart. Excellent, I recommend it.
The best restaurant in Haute Savoie! A succulent cuisine, a quality service you feel like home. The atmosphere is great. From the entrance to the dessert to the cheese trolley: a treat. Very good choice for the selection wines Very good report quality price. Thanks to all for the service and quality of the dishes. We'll be right back.
On a rainy day in the Swiss Alps, we decided to drive to the Swiss/French border to Aux Ducs de Savoie for some haute cuisine. We were served a delicious foie gras appetizer and a tasty puree for amuse bouche. The chef's 3 courses were interesting,...delicious and appropriately portioned. The cheese tray was the most extensive we've ever seen and the local cheeses I selected were outstanding. The impressive dessert cart had every dessert imaginable and the clafoutis I chose was excellent. Unfortunately, the management sent the hostess, who also spoke English, to assist us. She was patronizing, rude and made a sport out of ridiculing our guests who had never eaten in a French restaurant before, and who struggled with the menu. As an American showing off the beauty of Europe to my guests, I was embarrassed. The hostess' attitude overshadowed the meticulously executed and delicious cuisine, leaving a proverbial bad taste in our mouths. We will not return to Aux Ducs de Savoie.
Late August 2019 visit in the evening. This is a pricey restaurant which is great for a treat. Great setting, views of the lake and interior sumptuous. We had a table on patio as it was a warm evening. Service impeccable. We had the Dragon...Fly menu, 46 euro or 54 with two starters. Why two starters? Well I tried it and they were the highlight. The Half-cooked bluefin tuna was a small dish but exquisite, the Gratin crayfish tails and small carrot cappuccino was one of the best soups ever. Invited to visit the cheese trolley and then the desert trolley, nice way of choosing, and aoffered to have a plate of tasting deserts, returned to the table by the waiter, again nice touch and service.
