First time there, I enjoyed the scenery awesome service. We were celebrating my cousins birthday there. If I have to visit Napa again I will definitely visit it again introduce it to my friends.
Fantastic experience today at Alpha Omega. Our sommelier Alex was great. The views and property were beautiful. It was really warm today so we enjoyed the occasional mist from the beautiful water fountain. I was the designated driver and I don't drink wine often but tasted the Era and now I like wine! : I recommend Alpha Omega! Thank you, Alex, Hector and team! Overall, lovely experience.
I was really excited about checking this place out as it has been on my list for quite some time. The property is beautiful and I was able to get reservations pretty easy. They were also accommodating to my reschedule request. And they're baby friendly. Pretty hard to find in Napa. The tastings are $75-$100 pp for 4 wines. They only require half the party to purchase tastings and you get 1 tasting fee waived with every 2 bottle purchase. I came here on a Thursday and it was very crowded. It was however, during Bottle Rock and Memorial Day weekend. Our host was very nice, but it seemed like he was managing multiple tables and as a result, service was very slow. He was late to join our table and didn't really explain the wines. We also had to wait a while for our next pours. It basically felt like an outdoor wine bar. We were seated outdoors in the far corner right in front of the fountains. I thought it was nice to be seated front row for the views, but we constantly felt a mist from the wind blowing the fountain water towards us. Not a pleasant experience.
I thought the wines were good but the tasting was rushed. This is no fault of our waiter, who tried as hard as possible to match our laid-back taste. But I'm guessing there has been a push for more turnover. As a result we couldn't really enjoy the differences between the wines, especially with the random shower we kept receiving from the nearby fountain.I would go back for a slower, drier tasting and conversation. I'm not sure if I'll find either of those though.
