They had a vast array of sake and after ordering the sake flight (sampler tray), we found a few options that we really liked and ordered a couple of bottles. The sashimi was very fresh and delicious. There was an assortment of dishes that we tried that were on par with many of the high end restaurants, such as the egg omelet with crab ankake and the BBQ eel Unagi rice bowl. Street parking was easy to find. We’d definitely come back to Hashigo Sake Bar.
I really liked this place alot. The interior is extremely clean looking and the aesthetic is great with the white walls and raw wood accents. The staff were friendly, and attentive. Our drinks were great, very delicious!(Lycee on Lycee Lycee ginger highball) The Takoyaki was the freshest experience I've had with Takoyaki, perfect crusted outer and nice and fluffy on the inside, good amount of meat and delicious sauce. That was just the drinks and appetizers. The main ramen dishes we had were the spicy chicken pork shoyu with some sides. The broth was flavourful, the noodles were perfect! The pork was phenomenal, egg was also perfect. We both personally would've preferred grilled chicken but that's the only downfall. Make sure you get dessert too the Jelly condensed milk drink was super delicious.I highly recommend this place
Tried their spicy paitan ramen with half chicken and half pork. Noodle is more firm than how I normally like. The soup is light and spiciness is just enough to taste not over powered. Personally like their pork over the chicken. The Cruella drink is very interesting. Cocoa nibs with coffee jelly, ever sip has a nice coffee aroma. Very enjoyable. They have online menu and order is through ordering sheet so relatively contactless.Took a star off for service, the waitress seemed annoyed when we asked about menu. It was the start of dinner hours so no it wasn't busy at the dinning hall.
Their duck ramen almost teleported me to Japan, it was extremely flavourful and asking for extra oil was the best decision I made. Noodles were super chewy and the egg yolk inside was cooked perfectly with a gel like consistency. Minus one star because service was super slow, they only had 2 servers and 1 chef. Drinks took forever to arrive which they acknowledged and apologized.
Delicious ramen restaurant in downtown Vancouver. Everything was delicious, service was fast and friendly. Highly recommended!
