Los Mendiolas Grill - Saint James

This restaurant offers a disappointing version of Mexican cuisine. The chicken enchiladas were bland, tasting only of plain tomato sauce, and the tortilla was undercooked. The chicken was similarly lacking in flavor. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes, with no salt or seasoning, and the tortilla chips were equally unseasoned. The ground beef in the tacos had no flavor at all. On top of that, I couldn't get a refill on my tea since they only had enough for one cup. I would recommend avoiding this place—I've had better food at Taco Bell. As someone from South Texas, I know what authentic Mexican food should taste like. Overall, I’d rate the food a 1.

We ordered togo when there were 2 other tables in the restaurant. The order took about 30 minutes to come out and then one order of steak tacos was incorrect. When we we went back in to ask for the avocado the order was missing they gave us avocado that was visibly fuzzy with mold. The food was something you'd get from a freezer section at a grocery store. Not worth spending the money or time to get food here. Service: Take out
