We chose this restaurants based on previous reviews. The menu is a bit confusing and limited as most options require sharing. Our choice of starter - squid of sorts was a bit overcooked although the sauce was tasty. The waitress seemed a bit stroppy when we left most of it on the plate. Due to unispiring kids menu choice (steak hache or sausage with chips) my husband decided to share cote de boeuf for 2 with our son. It's fair to say the portion was massive and best shared between 2 adults. Fish of the day was similar to cod, served on a bed of summer vegetables, simple and tasty. Overall ok but a bit pricey for what it was, service could also be turned up a notch, a bit of friendliness would help.
Best tuna we ever had. Central location and atmosphere nice inside. Service on normal good level. Data special fish Mire than worth of money.
Chose this restaurant from the reviews but it was not very welcoming and the calimares (squid) main course was chewy which spoilt the evening. for what we had, the meal was over-priced at €121 for two.
When visiting a place for just a day, choosing a place for lunch can be difficult, especially to find a place with locals and not just visiting tourists. We were luckyas the staff at our hotel in Biarritz enthusiastically encouraged us to stop at Kakowhen we visited Saint Jean-du-Luz. This turned out to be the best meal of our trip! The plat de jour was fish with vegetables and an herb sauce, perfectly cooked andflavorful, followed by a fabulous dessert. And all for a very reasonable price. Definitely seek this restaurant out when you visit this lovely town.
