I can only say fantastic fantastic fantastic. We have not been to this restaurant for over ten years, only wish we lived nearer. The welcome was great, the ambience of the dining room lovely, the young couple who own/run it fantastic, and the food out of this world. I did try to send some photographs, but I can only presume my computer skills are not up to it, very sad, because the food deserves to be shown, truly great.
Something of a curate's egg. Whilst the welcome couldn't be faulted and we liked the room very much, we found the food inconsistent. Starters were good. My langoustine in a butternut squash ravioli couldn't be faulted and was worthy of a far more expensive restaurant. My wife enjoyed her sushi style dish, although she was surprised by it. However, main courses disappointed both of us. I found the parmentier style beef with foie gras was rich but clumsy and not attractive on the eye; the chicken in a thai broth that my wife chose provided good enough chicken but was not served in anything that really resembled any of the wonderful broths we've eaten over the years in Thailand more Chinese, we thought. Deserts were perfectly okay. Not exciting, but good enough. The wine list was limited but there were some good glasses to be had. The restaurant lies in a small village, not far from the main dual carriageway between Guingamp and St Brieuc and easily found. Very good website and online booking including reminders. Highly professional. Prices were very good. Our meal spanned two of the set menus and included three glasses of various kinds and came in at around seventy euros. For that reason I'm sorry not to offer an extra star but we just didn't enjoy the main courses enough.
Fantastic service, fantastic food. One of the best restaurants I have been to in Cotes d'Armor. Every course took my breath away; I could not fault any of the dishes. Innovative and extremely stylish cuisine.
We booked by chance in this restaurant for lunch on May 1st and we do not regret our choice. We have been well received and shared an excellent meal made up of high-quality fresh products (clutch laces, sorbet/petal osteos, dagger net. For a little duck magret. for the others. dessert (pavlova with fresh fruit) was also a treat. owners are attentive and very professional, they deserve to be rewarded with their efforts.
