We had two pizzas, one 7 and one 9 . Both were excellent and tasted great. We enjoyed them. Them did seem quite pricey though at $17 and $20. Pizzas seem to be made on a pita bread crust. Definitely worth trying.
The food is great. Very large menu for all your lunch desire. The service is just perfect. Everyone have a smile and assure you to have a great time. The ambiance is just like you are always on vacation when you are there.
Stopped for lunch on our way to Quebec City. This was just an excellent experience all around and our first experience with Quebec 's French immersion. The staff was very helpful and patient with our pitiful attempts to speak French. Although they offered pitas , they don 't resemble what we 've come to know as pitas. These were crisp and warm, similar to pastry. My husband had a chicken club pita while I had beef brisket pita which tasted a lot like pastrami. Both were yummy. So grateful we drove a few miles out of the way to come here. Ce bien!
Arrived at our St. Jean Port Joli motel quite late and asked for a recommendation of a local place to eat. La Libellule was open until 10 p.m. It is hidden behind the church so not easily seen from the road. The waitress easily switched to English when she realized we were not Francophones and provided us with a menu written in English. We both had the Chicken pitas which were filled with shredded chicken breast (not processed lunch meat), cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and a homemade mayo. Spoke with the hostess upon leaving and were told that they also serve breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. Very friendly employees. WARNING 2 weeks later we stayed in St. Jean Port Joli on our trip home and La Libellule was closed. They seem to open for the tourist season May to early October.
