Churchill's Bar & Pub - Saint John

So let 's be real: I 'm not a foodie . I 'm mostly an eat-to-live person, and while I appreciate a great meal, I 'm not one to seek out the absolute best in anything I eat. That said, one of my favourite comfort foods is fried chicken, and I 've eaten a ton of it, from restaurants all over the world...some even claiming to have the best *in* the world!I can say, without question, Churchill 's Sweet and Spicy Fried Chicken is, by FAR, the best fried chicken I 've ever had in my entire life. Honestly, I was blown away by how perfectly it was cooked, how it didn 't need any sauce...it had me saying things like flavour profile and talking about textures...this chicken has CHANGED something within me.Thank you to the chefs, and also to our server Alicia, who was absolutely awesome!! We also loved the atmosphere, the perfect volume of the 90s/00s alt-rock, and the comfy booth! We will be making a point to come back to Saint John just for a meal at Churchill 's!!

Travelling from southwestern Ontario. With stops including Quebec…this was by far the best dining experience we have had so far! Great service. Amazing food. Highly recommend.

Have not eaten here since Covid. Went last evening. Will not be going back anytime soon. My meal consisted of a very large and unappetizing baked potato and gristly steak. That was it. I had to ask for butter and the meal was lukewarm. For twice the price my husband had a steak no larger than the palm of my hand, half a baked potato and some vegetables. Big price for such a small meal! Way overrated!

We popped in here twice while in Saint John for a late night snack and the food was definitely the highlight. The mac ‘n cheese hit the spot and the trio platter was a great deal for the price. The service was as friendly and prompt as you could hope for!

Had a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and the food excellent. Just expected a bit more ambience for a steakhouse from a seating style perspective.. But overall great experience..
