The place was bustling with locals, including families with children. Despite being located in a strip mall, the restaurant had a bright and cozy diner atmosphere on the inside. My only complaint is that they serve pancake syrup in packets instead of a bottle for breakfast, and premade tartar sauce in packets for takeout. It felt more like a fast food chain than a classic diner. Be cautious of outdated menus on Google Maps, as the restaurant has recently simplified their menu. There are no longer items like clams, lobster rolls, or seafood platters, just fish and chips. The menu is now just a single page.
This restaurant is a great spot for delicious breakfast food. I ordered the fish cake breakfast with a side of hollandaise sauce. The fish cakes were flavorful and filled with pieces of fish. My eggs were cooked perfectly with a beautiful over easy yolk. The beans were sweet, not tomatoey, which I liked. The hashbrowns grilled with onions were tasty, but I would ask for more onions next time. The milk and sugar for coffee comes in a giant scallop shell, a cute added touch. I would definitely come back for breakfast again!
Large delicious portions of food, amazingly fast service and the ladies are nice too. Had the carlito and had to take some back home, it was a super filling portion.
We enjoyed lunch at the Island Girls Diner. It was our first time at the new location and it's lovely ... very spacious and bright. We had the Island Girls Special Breakfast, Liver Bacon, the Breakfast Aubritto Wrap with Grilled Home Fries Onions and a piece of Coconut Cream Pie. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious!!! Already looking forward to my next visit.
Great service, very kind staff and chills friendly with a childs menu. Did quality for what was eaten was excellent and just how you expect it to taste from a dinner that was back in the 70s it had a lot of nastalgia. The building is oddly shaped but I do think that's because they are using 2 normal sections that would be separate stores but they knocked out a wall section to open up the dinning rooms and bathrooms. Service is excellent
