I absolutely love this restaurant in Saint John. My favorite dish is the cashew chicken with a popia (similar to a spring roll). During a recent lunch with my 5-year-old daughter, they were extremely accommodating. They prepared a special yellow curry for her that was extra mild and a little sweeter, which she adored. Now she asks to go to "Suwanna food" for dinner as it has become her favorite spot. She also enjoys the cabbage and carrot salad and the masaman curry, while I personally adore the sweet and sour chicken. The pineapple sauce used instead of the traditional red sweet and sour sauce gives it a unique flavor. The chicken is lightly battered and crispy, providing a delicate crunch with every bite.
I just finished dining on the patio at Suwanna. The food was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and attentive. Zoé took excellent care of us, she was kind and considerate. They even offered us freshly washed blankets on the slightly cool evening, as we chatted about their first year of ownership. Even with our 6-month-old baby, we felt very welcomed as they accommodated all of our special needs. They provided detailed explanations of the menu, making it hard to choose because everything sounded so tasty. We will definitely be returning next time we are in St John and will call ahead to order the delicious slow-cooked duck from the menu.
Divided a starter and had two main courses and the food was excellent. Good amount and great flavors. simply found the price of the most important courses very expensive. Just my two cents.
Let me say first, I'm not crazy about Thai food. That's because I've never been here before. WOW WOW WOW. Fresh, tasteful and layered curry. We have already made plans to return. Dean thank you for a great experience.
