We were late for lunch, it was gone 2:00pm and the waitress indicated that the kitchen was closed. She didn't speak English (which made it authentic and off the tourist path) but we managed to understand that there was something by way of a little salad that they could do so we ordered that. We were thinking it'd be a few bits of lettuce with maybe a couple of tomatoes and a slice or two of cucumber but what came was a feast of a salad. Wow! I ordered a cafe-au-lait but I got an espresso with a side of milk. Something got lost in translation, I guess but she was trying so hard to be helpful I decided to drink it anyway. I don't like espresso - it's too strong and bitter for me. I added a little of the milk and took a sip. Smoooooth and not bitter at all. It was delicious. Bill for the two salads, the espresso and a Perrier was about CDN $40.
Every dish enjoyed by someone at the table if not the person ordering itVery friendly serverRegret not leaving enough room to sample the desserts.
