Ao Co. Market Cafe - Saint Louis

The sandwiches are fantastic, you can find some eclectic high-end items in the market, however the drinks are not good. if you're paying $6 for a coffee, it should be exceptional.

This place sells quick and simple sandwiches and decent coffee and has a very nice yard to sit in. However the store is very overpriced. I wanted to support a neighbor store but every time we look at the price tags we feel like being treated as idiots -most items they sell can be found in other places (Whole Foods, Amazon etc. at cheaper prices. I guess for high earning peopleit is acceptable but I personally don?t want to shop here.

The coffee was just what we were looking for and the staff were very friendly. We arrived just after a employee training meeting and asked the barista questions about coffee quality. They were helpful and shared their knowledge.

Definitely one of the fanciest coffee shops I've been to. (A whole room devoted to booze and cigars? The market portion is a perfect place to stop before going to the park to set up a cheese board of some kind. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious.But the espresso was treated a bit aggressively.

Wasn't sure when entering but I quickly realized they split the shop in two. I got an espresso for a quick pick me up. In that time a patron ahead of me was talking to the employee about applying since it was the baristas last day. She near violently, yetsubtlety, shook her head no. Over and over. Something is odd about this shop.
