Pit Stop - Saint Louis

We had mapped another restaurant and found a parking spot down from pit stop...what a blessing. Great chicken, tender ribs, and tremendous tacos. You could tell this is a local favorite and is a must visit for visitors and tourists.

Pit Stop-STL is one of the more relaxed casual locations on the Hill. Something I really appreciate about Pit Stop is the range of dinner options both in price point and type of food. You can have a apps, salad, sandwiches, bowls or full entrees. There’s easily something for everyone’s tastes, and this makes it great for get-togethers.The outdoor patio lets you enjoy the view from the corner lot, and I highly recommend getting there for happy hour around 5 to make the most of it.

We initially stopped by to simply look at the menu after having dinner elsewhere, but ended up trying some items. Two years ago, we had a wonderful meal at this restaurant with friends. I ordered the vegetarian option, which was both unique and delicious. Although I can't recall what the others had, everyone enjoyed their meals. Upon perusing the menu this time, we decided to share some small salads to get a taste of what they offer. Once again, we were impressed by the salads, dressings, and all the accompaniments. The staff was accommodating and helpful, especially in catering to my wife's gluten-free needs. The restaurant itself is located in an old gas station, giving it a charming and unconventional appeal. We enjoyed dining outside and observing the locals walking around and enjoying the neighborhood of The Hill. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning with our friends. We highly recommend trying their delicious food.

This restaurant was amazing. Top notch food, only a 15 minute wait when other places near by said a hour.I had people in my family who ate meat and were vegetarian, so many delicious options. I had the gnocchi. They were pillowy soft. So so good.Kid-friendliness: They do have kid options, but they are not on the menu. My kiddo got the burger and fries .

Nice place. Service was good. Food was not up to my expectations. I may have had my expectations set to high. I do want to give it another chance.
