Contribuisci feedbackMy experience at The Garden on Grand Saturday evening was excellent. The food was wonderful and the service was good. The only suggestion I'd make is to hire one more person for wait staff, just to keep the service flowing smoothly. We each had the salmon. The serving was generous, it was cooked to order perfectly, and the garnishments on the salmon were exquisite. The side dish of potatoes was delicious. Coffee and desert (ice cream) topped off the meal. My friend and I had symphony tickets, so we went in at 5:45 to allow for a leisurely dinner. I had read some reviews that indicated that the service could be a bit slow, but we finished our meal and our dessert by 7:10, which gave us more than enough time to comfortably reach Powell Hall from the Garden's location on South Grand. Fine dining should never be rushed. If you need to get to the theatre or symphony, stop in early enough to make your evening enjoyable!!
The Garden on Grand has a healthy, organic ambiance. The bar is gorgeous made out of huge slabs of maple and like everything else in this restaurant is original and authentically different. The chef is a master in the kitchen handling efficient multi creations of outstanding dishes in a harmonious swoop, turning out delightful and different creations, one after the other. The assistant chef turned out a coconut rice dish with shrimp that the scent alone lingers in my memory, making my mouth water. I am a 'foodie ' and I know of no other restaurant in St. Louis where the atmosphere, the attention to detail in food and drink preparation, and the graciousness of the staff culminates in such a superior and delightful dining out experience. I can 't wait to go back.
This restaurant was one of the best dining experiences I've had in STL in a long time. I was there for my friend's 40th Bday celebration. The atmosphere was beautiful, music playlist was awesome and the service was wonderful. Everyone was so kind which you don't necessarily find at restaurants anymore. Food was delicious. I had the asparagus and coconut rice. So good! The owner greeted us on several occasions and treated us to a complimentary Asian pear dessert, apple turnovers and peach cobbler. I felt like I was in NYC for the night. Highly recommend it!!
Came late for brunch but the staff was so kind and accomodating. Had the Steak and Eggs and could LITERALLY cut my steak with my butter knife because it was so tender. Absolutely delicious. Would recommend to anyone who loves good food and good service. :
Great experience! Our server Donna and the whole staff was exceptional! The food was great too! Great variety and on point pricing! Hoping to go back soon!
