When he did come, he took our appitizer order, but did not come back. We had to ask another waiter for assistance. That order was messed up at first, but it was fixed. We had to wait about fifty minutes before we got our main order. When we got our entrees, the food was good. Management did come by table to apologize for our trouble. The first waiter was new we were told, and was still green. We got an extra appitizer to take home and some charges were taken off our bill. The quality of the meal was the saving grace. It was busy, but our experience was not acceptable.
Located at the Union Station, the Train Shed is a restaurant that was well attended. The food was bland, the music was too loud and service was slow. I ordered the French Onion Beef Sliders with fries. The sliders didn't have the flavor that I was expecting and needed seasoning. The fries were spicy. We also ordered the Red Snapper...once again, no flavor. The hype of the Train Shed is that it is in the Union Station next to the Aquarium, which would be perfect for a meal.
DELICIOUS. We got there around 11:45 on a Saturday. Place was packed so we sat at the bar first come first serve. Had great service. We got the toasted ravioli app with the trio pizza. I was WAY better than expected. All around excellent lunch. Alittle pricey, but that's expected based off of location.
We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, and we have been living around the corner for over a year. We sat at the bar and had a VERY knowledgeable cocktail shaker at the bar (the guy with the pink hair, look for him). He knew his business and shakes awesome cocktails. We had the deviled eggs, and they were in the top 3 for sure (and we have had a lot of them, across the country). All in all a good experience and I look forward to visiting at night and having a dinner!
Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing service. We had Alexis as our waitress and she was spot on! For an appitizer we had their deviled eggs. They were so good! I had the NY Strip meal and my husband had the Rootbeer BBQ pork steak meal. Both were out of this world. We were celebrating my birthday and Alexis brought me a molten lava cake (again AMAZING). Thank you Train Shed for an OUTSTANDING visit!!! We WILL be back!
