Walking past, I noticed the cozy family atmosphere and saw that it was a favorite spot among guides and locals. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious and affordable food. The restaurant quickly filled up, but I was able to secure a spot and enjoyed the best vegetable dish I've had in Senegal. Despite the crowds, the staff made efficient use of the space, even if it meant sharing a table. I was fortunate enough to meet a judo trainer who frequented the restaurant daily to fuel up for his competitions. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, as I had been recommended one more geared towards tourists that was next door. As I passed by, I noticed the family atmosphere and saw that it was where guides and locals were eating... so I guessed that the food was good and cheap. Indeed, the restaurant quickly filled up and I can only say that it was the place where I had the best vegetable dish in all of Senegal. Because it's so popular, it fills up quickly and they make use of every inch of space, so you may end up sharing a table. I did and it was the best! I was able to meet a Judo coach who was there to compete with his students. I went there to eat every day during my stay.
