Quick stop by in St Malo for lunch during a road trip and glad to have discovered Home Burger a nice easy going burger joint. The staff were all very friendly. As we arrived around 2pm on a Sunday which is considered late in...lunch standard in France, as quite a number of the bistros were closing and were not taking on any new customers. So we were super glad to find Home Burger and that they were open. It’s fab to find a burger restaurant that their burger buns were a non brioche bun but a sesame mixed seed bun. Nice touch too to be asked how well done we would like to have our burgers cooked. Good to also find options where the side dishes offered were beyond fries, but included options such as a coleslaw.
Tried on the off chance, and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was really good and the staff very friendly especially for a burger joint. As you would expect in France they asked how you wished for your burger to be cooked they...got it spot on. The loaded fries (with cheese and ham/bacon) were excellent as were the standard ones to be fair. Restaurant was clean and tidy and the staff were careful to keep it that way. We will be back when next in St Malo.
Very good service, clean restaurant and tasty burger cooked rare (just how I liked it, and asked for)
The burgers are not very good, they are dry. The products aren't bad but they are far from being amazing. I had the Vegetarian burger: it was dry, the vegetal steak was very thin with no taste, not enough guacamole and the bread was too...dry, very not tasty. The worst part is the chips/fries: they are cooked in beef fat... not suitable for vegetarian. I was looking forward to eat homemade chips/fries, I was very disappointed. And it's too expensive for what is served.
