I couldn't have asked for more. It was my first time visiting as I was passing through on vacation, and I definitely consider it a hidden gem!
They offer a fantastic variety of beers, ciders, and seltzers on tap.
The atmosphere, food, and drinks are absolutely amazing! This is definitely the top spot in St. Maries. As for wheelchair accessibility, the entrance is located at the back and features a ramp for easy access.
The Grapple offers a selection of excellent local beers on tap. I shared a guacamole burger and fries with my companion, SWPFTD, to enjoy alongside the beers. Yes, we actually split a burger—I’m trying to shed a few pounds, okay? I’d much rather forgo half a burger than give up a beer! Anyway, the burger was delicious, the beers were top-notch, and the young woman at the bar was incredibly friendly. If you're passing through St. Marie's or spending a few days here, I highly recommend stopping by. And if anyone's up for a challenge, feel free to check out my brewery and distillery reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! You can find them at yelp.com/collection/-8is… Also, if you're curious about who SWPFTD is, you'll need to read my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to find out—it’s worth it, and I believe you’ll get the joke!
This restaurant is fantastic! Although the menu is mainly focused on burgers and fries, they truly excel in these areas, so it's worth exploring their offerings. I ordered a burger topped with Bleu cheese and bacon, while my companion enjoyed the guacamole and bacon burger. Both were cooked to perfection, and the flavors blended beautifully. The fries were also a highlight, with several options available; I tried the Buffalo fries, which were generously smothered in hot sauce and sprinkled with Bleu cheese. Such a delicious combination! That evening, there were 10 draft beers on tap, along with some intriguing hard cider and seltzer options (I sampled a sour guava beer followed by a stout porter). The place was spotless, and they have a spacious deck that's perfect for evening dining. I will definitely be returning!
