Do not enter if on a diet! This place has a wide selection of terrace and breads, all made by the owners. There is also a good selection of very generously filled baguettes, made to order when you arrive, salads and a solid main...course to lunch on weekdays, such as lasagna or traditionally made sausages with a baked potato. Remember that lunch in France begins early! You can eat from about 11.45 when you feel like it, but if you want a hot meal and will say 1pm or later then it is best to call it and reserve your part. You will like to do this, the staff is very nice, although I have not tested their English speaking skills. You can either eat indoors or outdoors, but there are no huge number of seats, so in high season you might have to do with the grass. The coffee is also great here, and there is a menu of numerous teas and a selection of soft drinks. In addition to bakery is a well-stocked wine shop, so there is basically everything you need here to make a great picnic if you want to climb for the Cevennes, the grotto of the Demoiselle, or even the Pic St Loup. While this bakery is right next to the roundabout and therefore has a lot of parking, there is another branch of La Tour in the main village square. The latter does not make meals or tea/coffee, but you can still pick up stuffed baguette, quinces and pizza slices as well as terrace series, bread and chocolate. The roundabout is closed on Sundays in winter, but the village shop is open in the morning and then again from about 4.30.
What a nice little find! After leaving the grotto of the Demoiselle (which was closed for lunch!! we wandered through several small cities looking for a place to a simple lunch. Although some places say they have sandwiches, everyone seemed to be out when we went up. At least until we found this magnificent Boulangerie right at the roundabout in Saint-Martin Des Londres. This place was fabulous! They had the usual bread items, but also had wonderful pastries and really unique sandwiches. Some prepared them for you while others sat the sandwich material in long narrow bowls in a display case where you could choose what looked good. With many simple parking/access and indoor/outside seats there were many locals. If you go through this area, you should really try this great lunch. Cheers!
This bakery is a true surprise at the end of an alleyway.
We stopped by coming back from the river this Tuesday at the end of the afternoon to taste it and we do not regret very pleasant selling available. recommended without hesitation
