Hotel du Vercors

My wife reserved the table erlier in the day (in person, at the bar). When we got there that evening, it had been booked for another night.... not a particularly good start. However, they found space for us, and we moved on. Mistakes happen it's how they are rectified that counts! Pleasant summer evening so everybody was eating outdoors on the terrace. Service was professional and friendly. Food was very basic. Simple salad to start nothing at all special. Pavé of trout for main course. It was tasty and well cooked, but was served with just a few steamed potatoes nothing else. I opted for the cheese plate for desert. My wife had a similar meal. €76 for two including a simple local bottle of wine. I was a little dismayed when I went to pay and saw two plates of food waiting to be taken to the tables. Both were crawling with flies. It was a hot evening, so flies (and wasps) were about, but food should not be left uncovered in those circumstances. I couldn't help wondering how many flies had crawled over my meal before it arrived at the table.

We had booked five rooms for the weekend of 22/23 July, for a meeting of friends. Everyone was delighted with this hotel with spacious and neat rooms. The bosses are very pleasant, attentive, patient, real professionals. The kitchen is delicious, refined. On the terrace it is a pleasure to be served and to look at the cliffs of the vercor plateau. Congratulations!

We were a group of ten cyclists and had cycled up from Saint Jean via Villard and had a fantastic lunch at Hotel du Vercors. It has a great vista over the valley and hills and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. There was a good range of food, salads, ravioles and an amazing tartiflette!

A recent hotel super well held with remarkable propriety or the welcome is frankly nice the boss is motorbiker it is the chef of the restaurant that is as good as the hotel is acceuillant. the boss is discréte and avenging.the meals are hearty and good.not only do I recommend you to make it stop during your bike hikes but with regard to us you will be happy for the establishment and for this vercors that is so beautiful
