This unique establishment is more like a seafood market with a limited selection on display, but actually operates as a year-round take-out restaurant specializing in boiled shrimp and crab. One of their popular offerings is a pound of boiled Gulf shrimp, served with a boiled red potato and an ear of corn for $12.99 before tax. The meal is delicious and reasonably priced, providing enough shrimp for a meal and a shrimp sandwich later on. They offer three levels of spiciness: mild, regular, and extremely hot. The regular option is particularly fiery, fitting for the Pepper Capital of the World. During the season, they also offer crawfish, either live or cooked. Their hours can be a bit confusing, so it's best to call ahead. They also sell cold or frozen seafood items upon request. Additionally, they have reasonably priced graded Atlantic blue crab, available boiled or live. The restaurant has a large parking lot in front, easily accessible from Main Highway (LA31) along the historic Bayou Teche.
There are no complaints.
