Contribuisci feedbackImpeccable food. It was 28€ but that included cheese and dessert. I had beef carpaccio and then andouillettes. The woman who runs the show is a little excentric but i liked her a lot.
Le Calvaire is a typical French country restaurant with the family manning all positions. The food was beautifully presented, made from fresh local ingredients and served with pride. We enjoyed sharing the restaurant with one other party: about two dozen local residents who all walked home after a boisterous and convivial evening. Our waitress encouraged our granddaughters to try out their French and helped them choose dishes they would like.
We stopped for a quick lunch since we were a bit late and did not have reservations, unfortunately we could not enjoy the daily special. However, we did order some a la carte and were pleased.
I suggest to take the Menu Gastronome (45 euros). The have excellent Presse de Canard Facon Rossini; le Gratin the fruit of mere champagne is wonderful and delicious and also la Cocotte des Escargots aux nuts. Must try it!
Un service attentionné, un menu bien étudié et particulièrement réussi. Mérite d'avoir une plus grande clientèle
