Treglos - Saint Merryn

Good morning, I would like to ask any contact to the hotel, I need a verification of one of your employees really urgent, please.

Had afternoon tea. Food was lovely and plentiful. Staff were very helpful. Next time I'm down that way will go again.

Currently at the Treglos Hotel for a half spa day. Despite not having the usual spa facilities we decided to come here for a ladies afternoon as the advertised the pool and outside lounges which for a summers afternoon sounded perfect. Unfortunately the facilities are very outdated and illmaintained. Many of the loungers are falling apart or have very tired tops. You are unable to have drinks anywhere but the bar, which you have to walk through the main reception to and the service is incredibly slow. Considering we have appointments back to back it is going to be a long wait for each of us instead of the relaxing bliss we intended. Here is hoping the treatments themselves make up for it.Treatments were very good. Recommend coming for a massage but it 's not a Spa day experience.

Was extremely surprised to see the above review about the Spa etc., as I am just about to book this hotel on the recommendation of close friends of mine who have stayed here on numerous occasions and have always come back raving about it... from the excellent food, wonderful staff, (especially Wendy on reception) and the fact that they have often sat outside having drinks either during the day on a sun lounger or in the evening at the outside tables watching the sun go down... before dinner. They tell me you can always have drinks in the bar or the lounge, and that the beds are the most comfortable they have ever slept in! So bearing all this in mind....I can’t wait to go!

Very average hotel. Forget doing anything before 8am as no staff apart from night porter who understand as much English as my cat. Evening meal was ok but you'd send it back in London. Breakfast was up there with premier Inn. Beds not as good as premier inn on that note. B&B we stayed in night before put this place to shame on all fronts.
