Carmelo's Spaghetti Room - Saint Paul

This was undoubtedly the best meal I've ever had. We started with bruschetta, which was absolutely delicious. Our entrees arrived shortly after we finished our appetizer. We decided to upgrade our salads to Caesar salad, and I appreciated that the dressing was flavorful without being too heavy. The bread was perfection as well. Our pasta dishes were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. To top it all off, we shared three pieces of cake: tiramisu, coconut crème, and chocolate cake, if I remember correctly. I honestly couldn't choose a favorite because they were all incredible. Thank you once again!

The service was shockingly rude. Despite several open tables and other diners being seated as they came in, we were repeatedly asked if we were ready to order. They even tried to give us take-out boxes just a few minutes into our meal. Our wine and water were taken away before we had finished. The staff was incredibly intrusive and seemed eager to rush us out. To top it off, the food was below average, and we could hear the staff making fun of us from the kitchen.

This charming little Italian restaurant is simply the best! The atmosphere is delightful, the service is excellent, and the food is fantastic! We enjoyed the bruschetta and artichoke dip, both of which were delicious. The balsamic drizzle added a nice tang. The homemade bread served with the salad was amazing! Every entrée we ordered was wonderful, and the portion sizes were generous—so much so that we had to take leftovers home. The flourless chocolate cake and tiramisu were absolutely irresistible! I highly, highly recommend this place. Be sure to make a reservation and enjoy your meal!

My family loves Carmelo's! Kind, friendly staff, straight forward menu with a good wine selection. The bread you get with your salad is excellent! Recently remodeled (end of pandemic , the room feels cozy and authentic. The bathroom is downstairs, whichcan be tricky depending on how much wine you've had... : We'll come back again and again!

Absolutely wonderful! The BEST pasta I've ever had and their alfredo sauce is divine! The atmosphere was calm and relaxing and the service was top notch. Absolutely no complaints! I will be returning very often!
