We loved Ward 6. This is the same cozy building, same manager and one of the owners. So it is back to maybe 95%. We had Pad Thai and Enchiladas. Both good. And fine service and Key Lime pie
Highly recommend. The food is amazing. Service always perfect. Go to place for the best cocktails. Have the fettuccine. The chicken is cooked to perfection. Sample a few different cocktails. The patio is nice on a beautiful summer evening.
This place is turning into a local gem. The beer menu has expanded nicely, the meals change occasionally and there's good variety, the dining room is smallish but nice enough to linger in, and there's a cute little patio out back. The best part is the staff; you can tell good places by how little turnover they have. The chef delivers food, makes recommendations, and remembers you. The servers are friendly, knowledgeable about the food, and also remember you. Eric is awesome. Try the curry fries if you go, so good.
I know I have gotten pretty liberal with five star ratings... And I never regret it. Everyone does amazing things in their own unique way. In this instance though, I do wish I could somehow differentiate this place, maybe give it 6 stars, or a special color of stars or something. ESB has quickly found a special place in my heart and my pallette. ???? The food here is unique, diverse, and curated by an extremely passionate and talented chef who I genuinely believe puts his heart into each dish and into the establishment. I tried the Brussel Sprouts, a delectable dish with a hong shao rou for a sweet, yet tangy flavor with complex notes and a great mixture of textures. The drinks were superb as well; I was able to try two of the mocktails, and each was filled with flavor and quenched my thirst quite expertly. The cherry on the pie though, is the staff, the people, through whom shine a light that could bring a smile in even the darkest days. Each person I was able to interact with had their own unique charm, character, kindness, adding layers of humanity on an already very welcoming and spirited atmosphere. I am very much looking forward to returning and trying another dish or two soon.
