The Mongolian beef was delicious, but there was a shortage of beef and an excess of rice noodles and onions used to fill it out. The fried wontons were average, but tasty. The fried rice was particularly unusual as I had never encountered plain fried rice with no added ingredients before. The Pad Thai was a letdown, with dry, mushy noodles and an overly tangy sauce, although this may have been exacerbated by my late pickup. I would recommend trying ONs on University for exceptional Pad Thai instead. Overall, I had higher expectations due to the 4.5-star rating. Just for reference, I had already removed some of the Mongolian beef and Pad Thai before forming this opinion.
I ordered the Pho Ga (Chicken) at Got Pho, but was disappointed by the small portion for the price of $13.25. The broth was good, but there weren't enough onions and the chicken was overcooked. I didn't try the lunch specials, but they seemed like a better deal. The cream cheese puffs were not to my liking. Dining alone led to poor service compared to the large groups being served. I didn't see any Asian customers, so I felt out of place in Highland Park where the atmosphere is pretentious and snobby. I have had better Pho and Vietnamese food at other restaurants.
The food at this restaurant was delicious! My friends and I had a variety of options to choose from, and I decided to try the pad Thai. It wasn't exactly like traditional pad Thai, but it was quite tasty. I would definitely order it again. The service was fast and the prices were reasonable.Overall, a great dining experience!
This restaurant is amazing! I used to live around the area and used to come here alot. Ive moved since, so its always nice to stop in to dine from time to time. But I can tell you their chicken phò, fresh veggie spring rolls and even their fresh super crunchy veggie egg rolls are amazing and doesn't disappoint!! Its nice to find a place that makes you feel like home. The staff is polite and inviting and I couldn't remember.. but they now have a small wine and beer selection. I had the Moscato which was sweet but not over powering. I would definitely recommend this especially on cold days when you want just a warm bowl of soup.. the pho is very flavorful and you really want to just keep eating . The egg rolls were crispy and the veggie spring rolls had cucumbers which was super fresh!
Fried rice was really great so was the pho! Egg roll was good. Spring roll not bad.
