Loved the atmosphere: it is decorated with great taste and the music is just what you need to enjoy your diner. The staff is super welcoming, careful and nice. The food tastes fabulous, from the starters to the desserts, and the drinks are always a good surprise. Highly recommend it!
As a regular visitor to St Paul and having tried a number of eateries, this had been recommended. We only could go on a Sunday and all they had on offer was a ‘Jazz Brunch’. It sounded appealing but it was all a lie. The service was everything that is embarrassing about surly French attitude that is now so old fashioned. However what was farcical was the food, in its imagination, construction , description and delivery. This restaurant’s idea of Brunch is a hugely disappointing breakfast but cooked so badly, that disgusting is something it aspired to. Undrinkable tepid , tasteless brown liquid masquerading in the hallucinatory descriptor of hot chocolate ushered in a bizarre, at best unpalatable in reality almost vomit inducing egg soup flamboyantly presented as scrambled eggs. The fruit salad was in fact the contents of a stagnant pond with a few grapes chucked in. The bread was ok and it would be a challenge for even this restaurant unworthy of a lower level of Dante’s hells to mess with pre packed butter. The music cunningly promoted but not strictly advertised as live would have disgraced a lift in a backwater red neck motel. All this at €45 per person. I would rather staple my nipples to an angry wasp than sit through this shameful ruination of a meal ever again. Shame on you Les Remparts you disgrace your country, your culture and your cuisine.
Do not be conned by the description of ‘brunch’ with ‘music’. The brunch was not what one would expect for €45. One coffee, one cold drink, one croissant, one ‘main’ and one‘dessert’. Poor. Gravadlax was ok, rampart croissant with ham was big, egg soup was disgusting and unlike anything any of us had ever eaten. Obviously our mistake in thinking that the French understand what brunch should be. It’s definitely not this. And to advertise music is wrong when it’s neither live music nor dj music. We left feeling very ripped off.
Wow…the perfect lunch spot! We had a reservation, and they sat us promptly. Our view was breathtaking! (We had the corner table. The waitress was so charming and attentive. We ordered dishes with buffalo mozzarella, and both dishes were flavorful! If you want a long lasting memory of your day in Saint Paul de Venice… this is it.
What a nice place! Wonderful views but I mean absolutely wonderful) and good food. Had to wait a bit to get our orders in but rest was perfect. Highly recommend. So much better and friendlier than the little resto’s in this street of St Paul! So happy with myself for finding this treasure
