This place is really good to us but some of our locals don't seem to care for it. But I think its just different for them. It is authentic Mexican and made the right way. We had the chicken tacos and the flavor is just good and not over done in spices.
We came in after the lunch rush, and the place was empty. About 8 tables, very small, but clean. There is a limited menu, but the food was fresh, the portions large, and everything was very tasty. There was a salad bar with all the toppings for our meal. The carnitas were moist, falling apart tender, and just spicy enough. The barbacoa was shredded. Tasty too! As the business is connected to a tortilla factory, the fortillas and chips were fresh, tender and delicious. We'll be back!
I have to say, we did not eat here. We were very disappointed after driving by many times and being enticed by the outside. Last Saturday we went in to give it a try. The interior was very dirty and sparse. There was a small cafeteria warming table in the back where you place your order. The food looked very unappetizing. Dried out and covered with tin foil. A person was standing behind it and pushing food back in to the main serving compartment with an ungloved hand. We just had to walk away. Yikes!
Located just a mile off rt 95 at exit 31. Skip past the usual fast food choices and you’ll be very happy you did. Tacos were fantastic. Mom Pop type venue; nothing fancy. Many locals. Excellent price point. Will definitely come back next time I’m traveling down South.
