It is an older place, and there is some wear that comes with a being located directly on the beach but the water pressure in the shower was incredible!! All of the staff are very kind and helpful. There were ping pong tables on a patio and a bar inside with a nice brunch style menu. As you walk towards the rear of the hotel, there is a pool, and then a small beach bar right before you walk out onto a beautiful beach. There are many beach volleyball courts as well! They have chairs and cabanas available to rent but I would advise getting there early in the morning for those. Most evenings there was a DJ performing at the beach bar. All in all, it was a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an upbeat vacation. ?Nearby activities: It is within walking distance of many restaurants and souvenir shops!
I waited a long time to make this review as to keep a fair viewpoint. This place has a lot of potential to pull in a classier crowd but it failed miserably. If drinking until you throw up isn’t your vibe, do not go here. I’m middle aged and was obviously not their target crowd which is a shame consider how cool and vintage this place feels. It’s a shame the younger crowd is beating trashing the place. We arrived after the 4pm check in time and still waited an additional hour and a half on our room just to “be given” settle for a room that wasn’t what was reserved just so we could get a room and clean up from our travel. My husband basically had to flirt to get any kind of attention or resolution to our situation. The room: The walls were paper thin. Heard too much, smelled too much illegal substance, and the room had dirty, broken furniture, and still had wet paint where it appears they try to paint away their rough crowd after each check out. Floors were disgusting including the bathroom floor. Lots of water damage and bathroom door wouldn’t close due to having thick paint on it.There were some high charges like resort fees etc, but I don’t see evidence of where it’s being used or warranted. The only highlights is the female bartender inside that made my husband and I feel comfortable, and the food was amazing! The location is beautiful on the sand. (Too bad the clientele made it insufferable.)Clean up the clientele, fix up the rooms, and work on installing insulation. Otherwise, I’ll never be back.
Okay, the place is nice enough, nothing fancy about the rooms or anything.. but I definitely would not recommend it as a family place to go (on Friday or Saturday anyway)! It was like party central! But I was very pleased that they shut everything down early (like 10 or 11), so it wasn 't loud and crazy when trying to sleep. It also calmed way down during the weekdays. Next time, we would just make sure to choose a weekday trip! ?
I can not say enough about this little place. The food is so good, especially the breakfast! The staff is so amazing and welcoming. They have something going on all the time. Djs, rum tasting, volleyball tournaments, cornhole, ping-pong, a fire pit, a coffee bar. So much going on here! It's just a happening, fun place. The bartenders are so nice and make the best drinks. They work their butts off! The rooms are nothing amazing but they are cute, spacious and the beds are so soft! They have an amazing walk in shower too. The price is great and you are right on the beach. The beach is beautiful and private. If your going to St.Pete staying here is a must!!!!Safety: I normally will not stay in a hotel with the door on the outside. I've always felt much safer with a main entrance and all indoor rooms. I never once felt unsafe and everyone, including other guests, were so friendly.Food drinks: Yummy!!!!
We just returned from our second short stay at the Postcard Inn. It's a quaint, cleverly decorated older hotel right on the beach. We love the unique quirkiness of the decor and the large central courtyard with lots to do. For anyone planning to go, it's a very different vibe during the week than over the weekend. A young, party happy crowd takes over during the weekend which is fun, but much crazier. During the summer it's more intimate and relaxing during weekdays. The location is perfect, the beach is wonderful, service and having everything from coffee to cocktails available without going anywhere is very convenient. We will definitely be back.
